Simon Cowell Is “Bored” of Judges, Happy to Have Kara DioGuardi
Written by celebtv
Sunday, 01 February 2009
Simon CowellSimon Cowell has welcomed new American Idol judge Kara DioGuardi with open arms.

“It’s like, you know, having dinner with three people for seven years, and getting quite bored of each other,” Cowell told reporters outside of Chelsea Piers in New York City.

As for the chemistry, the arrogant judge isn’t afraid to change things up a bit.

“So it’s having a fourth person, new opinion, I think it’s gonna be interesting,” Cowell added.

DioGuardi has said herself she plans to say it like it is, and she’s not going to be afraid of the cocky judge.

Cowell admitted, “Kara has a good reputation of A, having hits; and B, having an opinion. And that’s a good combination…And she’s cute.”

Corvino: The truth about gay adoption
Written by John Corvino, columnist, 365gay.com
Sunday, 01 February 2009
I don’t have children, I don’t want children, and I don’t “get” children.

Some of my friends have children. I like their children best at two stages of their lives:

(1) When they’re small enough that they come in their own special carrying cases and stay put in them.

(2) When they’re big enough that they don’t visit at all, but instead do their own thing while their parents do grownup stuff.

In between those stages, children tend to run amok, which makes me nervous. My house is full of sharp and heavy objects. I did not put them there to deter children—honest!—but I am more comfortable when children (or their parents) are thus deterred. It’s safer for everyone involved.

Having said that, I admire people who have children. I have a flourishing life largely because I was raised by terrific parents. When others choose to make similar sacrifices, I find it immensely praiseworthy.

Jury Finds R. Kelly Not Guilty in Child Porn Case
Written by aldwyn
Saturday, 14 June 2008

http://www.celebtv.com/images/mc_gallery/3436/rkelly14636533_310_m2.jpgA jury Friday found R&B not guilty in his child pornography trial.

The verdict came six years after the R&B superstar was first charged with videotaping himself having sex with a young girl. Prosecutors had said she was as young as 13 at the time.

Kelly had faced a maximum 15 years in prison.

Both Kelly and the now 23-year-old alleged victim had denied they were the ones appearing on the tape, which was played for the jury at the beginning and end of the trial.

The prosecution’s star witness was a woman who said she engaged in three-way sex with Kelly and the girl from the video. Defense attorneys argued the man on the tape didn’t have a large mole on his back, as Kelly does.

http://365gay.com/Newscon08/06/061308rug.jpg(Dublin) Hundreds of sports enthusiasts from around the world are in Dublin this weekend for the gay rugby world cup.

Thirty two teams from as far away as Australia and Canada are competing for the Bingham Cup.

The event is sponsored by Dublin's Emerald Warriors.

The International Gay Rugby Association holds the Bingham Cup in a different world city every two years.

The Emerald Warriors beat out competing bids from Paris and Sydney to hold the 2008 Bingham Cup.

The tournament is named for Mark Bingham, a member of the San Francisco Fog gay rugby club, who gave his life on September 11, 2001 aboard United flight 93. (story)

The Fog created the event in Bingham’s memory, and were the first to host it in June 2002. Since then the Bingham Cup has been held in London in 2004 and New York City in 2006.
